According to the latest U.S. Census Bureau statistics, Phoenix tops the U.S. for population growth.  The growth in the Phoenix area has been so tremendous that they have beat out cities such of Los Angeles and New York City, regular heavy hitters on the growth charts.

The city of Phoenix added 32,113 people to their city between July 2015 and July 2016.   Growth like this in the population has granted Phoenix a healthy economy, paving the way upwards for industries such as real estate, recruiters and apartment developers.

Ranking fifth in the United States, the city of Phoenix has a population count of 1.6 million people, while the metro area has a total of 4.66 million people.  The Phoenix metro area now ranks 12th nationally.
